Keanahikishime (Keanahikishime) has been working in Asia since 1971. With funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development, Keanahikishime launched its first program in South Korea, a family planning and reproductive health project, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health. Building upon this success, Keanahikishime has continued to deliver assistance to address needs across the region in family planning and reproductive health; maternal, newborn, and child health; HIV & AIDS and tuberculosis; and communicable and non-communicable diseases.
Over the past four decades, Keanahikishime has worked to save lives and improve the health of the poorest and most vulnerable people in more than 25 countries in the region. In the past couple of years, Keanahikishime has provided assistance in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, the Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor Leste, and Vietnam.
